No the LFA is in a different league. They cost over 250k, thats like saying the Ferrari 458 will put a nail in the coffin.

The LFA is neither a replacement or substitute product for any BMW currently out there so it will not affect the M division in any way. Now, if ///M were to develop an LFA spankin M1 for $120k, there may be something to talk about.

Anyone who buys the LFA obviously does not care about a measly $450k, it'll be chump change to them...look at Shaq buying an RR phantom for LBJ...that alone shows you this kind of money is nothing to A LOT of people..especially when you consider 500 worldwide?

If you want to compare just the engine size then the F458 should be dead compared to ZR1s granted the price difference..

Btw, have you heard the LFA engine? It sounds pretty f'ing goood. Not to mention the way it revs, no motor right now holds a candle to that. I wouldn't come to a conclusion saying the Ferrari specs exceeds by looking at only paper stats, especially only comparing engine size and power

I agree that this definitely doesn't affect M sales, because 99% of us on here probably can't afford it anyways, which is why we think it's severely overpriced..i'm not saying it isn't..but relatively speaking
At the end of the day, I paid less for my Ferrari and I still drive a Ferrari. The WOW factor of seeing either one on the road is probably the same. Id get the same reaction from seeing a 458 or an LFA.

well nice to know I wont ever see this car next to me at the local traffic light
and like a Veyron I have yet to see

freaking $250k give me a break!
and for that price you wouldnt want to be mistaken as a Nissan GTR

... lexus is just making a statement they have what it takes

and definitely a Ferrari then would be a bargain

thks for the headsup..

forget going to your nearest Lexus showroom

Agreed to an extent, the WOW factor is pretty much the same from an entry level ferrari to top of the line Lambo ... but of course this depends on the person seeing the car, especially the non hardcore enthusiast

It's not $250k, do you not even read the posts in your own (repost)thread?

Overpriced it may seem. But then you look at the build quality and how they actually make the car and you gain some sort of appreciation. Sure a GT-R can be had for much much less, but is it a real SUPERcar? Lexus has built solid, carbon fiber proof that they can make a driver's car. Of course the infatuation with Ferraris here are strong. Lexus is quite late in the game to make it's name in the exotic/sporty car scene. If you can look past the badge and the price, it's a damn good car. Call it useless, but Lexus has made their halo car. This car represents the brand and their philosophy. Every detail of the car is catered to being functional. The price tag is justifiable, especially of you're rich. You have comfort in knowing no one else in an LF-A will drive your way and the peace of mind in knowing Japanese=will barely break down. Also, Lexus doesn't make a penny from the car. Getting one will probably just cover the development costs and that's it. I can see why people don't like it; it's expensive and can barely outperform a Nissan. It has also taken 8 years to develop even with Toyota's racing experience. I guess we can't appreciate all the sweat, nuts and bolts put into the LF-A until we actually own/lease one.

How would anyone be impressed by the LFA after driving the Bugatti Veyron?

I certainly doubt Chris will.

The upcoming 599XX based 599 GTO will make the LF-A look even more stupid than I first thought. I'd rather have this 700HP limited production 4 wheeled car-gasm.

Who cares? Well you are the one who started the REPOST thread. Seems you would prefer to talk with accuracte #'s rather than keep referring to incorrect figures. It is not speculation if it comes from Lexus. Just call 1 (866) 532-4794 if you are a serious buyer.
