Have you no idea what a bov is for? If you are boosting over stock and you want to save your turbos in the long run, you would be an idiot not to get one. There is a reason supercars of the Japanese world are using them - i would hardly consider them rice when 1200 HP Supras and 900HP FD RX-7's are running them to save their turbos from compressor surge. Get a clue.

I think I have the only kit on a 335 which was their first production kit...there might one other prototype 335 out there with the prototype of the kit and furthermore I DON'T have a tune of any kind (unfortunately ) so it kind of makes it hard for them to provide a soundclip from a car with specific mods. My camera doesn't take videos very well but I'll see what I can do for you guys.

Why is everything that an import car has rice...? Anyway, just about every turbo car on the this earth comes with a Blow of Valve or a Diverter Valve. These valves usually do not make much noise because there are recirculated back into the intake stream (on cars that have a MAF) so that a rich condition does not occur. Now the particular BOV that Tial, HKS, Greddy, ARC and many others sell "vent to atmosphere BOV's" make a loud woosh or chirp sound, yet they serve the same purpose as a stock or recirculated BOV. BTW - Most Evos that have a vent to atmosphere BOV don't run so well, the same is the case with 240sx (SR20DET) and so on and so on. To end my book, as some have said, a BOV, regardless of its configuration, will save a turbo. When you let of the gas, the pressurized air has to go somewhere, do you want it to go back to the turbo so that the blades and shaft are damaged, or would you rather it go elsewhere... =) I hope you don't see this post as arrogant, I am in no way that type of person.. I won't address the Supra issue.. Cheers |

^ Don't even waste your breath. The BOV haters feel its necessary to throw in their two cents in every thread mentioning a BOV, but they are usually the same people that don't know a turbo from an oil pan. As long as the stock diverters are still holding up than I can understand that BOVs aren't for everyone, but why they feel the need to fill a sponsors thread with their opinions is beyond me. Bump for a good vendor and a quality BOV setup.

hey guys i'm new to the bov subject. Quick question. How does a Diverter Valve work on an automatic compared to a manual. The same? And how would a BOV on an AT work. Same again?

Its not that great but it is in-car with the windows down. No other mods other than K&N and CP-E exhaust.

Thanks you VERY much for grabbing an in-car video bora1point8t! Sorry for the delay guys, but we finally have some pricing for you. Even better yet, it looks like we're going to be able to swing an "intro price" like we did with our catback exhaust! I'm going to start a thread in the specials sub-forum with more information, but here are the quick and dirty details: cp-e BMW 335i Blowoff Valve Kit (NOT including the valve): MSRP: $342.89 E90Post Intro Price: $265.02 HKS SSQV BOV Option: $158.00 Tial BOV Option: $165.00 Please note that the intro price is only temporary, and will eventually default back to the MSRP. |

You can actually order as early as Monday, but there is one thing that is still up in the air. We're not sure what color hoses that we're going to offer, so I think I'm going to start a poll to see which colors everyone really wants. So you're welcome to order a BOV kit now, but we won't know what color hoses will be available for another few days. If you find that we aren't offering the colors you wanted, then you're welcome to cancel your order. If I get a spare minute I'll post the thread in the group buy section, otherwise I'll put it up first thing Monday. |

there was another company that also had a kit w/ the HKS that was selling for 350-365... I would be in for <375...and if you kept everything stock looking IE (black hoses).... I think most ppl would like the stealth factor so when they take the car to the dealer it doesnt make things more obvious. |
