and there was a pause and they say "well we have an update from this morning that's its officially in production"

my initial response was great, i'll call back soon and then realized what they had said - opened first bottle of champagne for this phase - got a few more bottles to go through.

Debating of cancelling PCD since it might not be till late nov/mid December and probably not the best time to be driving on blue ridge parkway with an M4 and summer tires!

BMWNA now saying my car will be completed in October. No more of this production week stuff. But they said they had no day or production week at all either. Just said "scheduled for completion in October." Weird.

YUP! I actually use my moonroof more than most people probably do but you're right, the CF is just too cool to pass up, esp as a standard feature.

This may seem like a stupid question but how do I get notified about production week statuses? When I ordered my M3 they told me Week 42 and my PCD came back as December 3rd, but when I check MyBMW or call the 1-800 number it just says processing waiting on production. Is there another way to get notified if my build week as been moved ahead or back that I'm missing? Thanks

So in the maddness of all these delays, I asked my CA to take off the carbon roof and black wheels since I wanted my car before I moved...still week 43. I was told it was due to the full SO merino leather. At this point I told her to put my car back to orginal spec and I would simply stick to what I wanted, and not settle for anything less. She offered to courtesy deliver it to a local BMW dealership when I move or PCD.

The BMW ordering process has been a nightmare so far, but I wont let that get in the way of getting the exact car the way I want, hopefully no one else here settles. My CA has been more than helpful during this process, but the ordering process has been a nightmare. I hope all your cars get done asap!

Just stick with it imo. I have full SO and just started prod.

My CA just checked and didn't see any issues with my car being produced on schedule or within the "lottery ball schedule" BMW uses. I have CF, 19 blacks and full leather. Hopefully it sticks or gives someone else piece of mind.

Me too. I loved the sunroof on my 335. Not sure about the CF and YMB color match; it's OK, but not as catchy as SO - CF, nor as consistent a grey theme as MG w/ speedcloth.

In all honesty, I don't really care about the tread-jack. But I believe that your car was priority one already, which is a status that was flagged as not being affected. So it's not a huge surprise that it went into production. But it's exciting none-the-less... not trying to suffocate your enthusiasm.

I should add that we're both azurite black buyers. My car is scheduled to finish production on Sept 23, but given your location, you might see your car (which means I'll hopefully see your car by way of pics) before I see my own.

I don't believe priority 1 means we're safe. I'm also a P1, estimated completion week 41; but BMW still does not have a set production date for me. I have a sick feeling I may slide again (was originally a week 36 production).
