Just saw white M850i at SoCal dealer: $20K above MSRP
I saw the car on the sales floor while dropping off my current vehicle for service.
MSRP: $119K. Market adjustment: add $20K. This will not last of course but thought it would valuable to share if someone is looking for a white M850i in Orange County. |

Is that a Cerium Grey window trim? That would seem to be a first for BMW, as previous models in M Performance version seem to only have been available with the gloss black Shadowline window trim (same as M Sport) or more recently with the standard models' chrome/aluminum window trim (seen on a new X5 M50d).

MSRP is a suggested price but they can charge whatever the market can bear.

Oh so you can get chrome exterior trim on the M850i? I thought that an M Performance model restricted you to full Cerium Grey trim (grille, mirror caps, tail pipes, badges... Except black window trim) or black with the optional carbon pack.

Yes, you definitely can get chrome window trim on an M850i. That's what came on my model and on most others that I've seen thus far. I didn't think I preferred it, but now I do, especially with the Alpine white exterior.

Is the 8er in that much of a demand like the m2 when it came out?!! It's a gorgeous car for sure. I don't understand the 20k mark up; maybe wishful thinking.

The 20k market up is for some douche bag walking in off the street. It's a great marketing ploy until there is excess inventory pilling up after a few months, as initial allocation was 1-2 per center.

Chrome trim comes with the 19” all season wheel option. It’s mystifying as to why.

Lol this car is going to be worth like $60-70K within a couple years. It's white too, not some special edition or rare color that warrants another $20K price hike. Even at MSRP you are flushing an ///M2 worth of money down the toilet.
But they can get away with it because some sucker will pay that much. |

Wonder how this car will lease over time.
I was at the dealer doing maintenance on my 540xi and while there I spent some time in the M850 the dealer had in the showroom. I also casually asked about the lease and was quoted ~1900/mo, obviously noting was negotiated, it was just a casual ask to gauge the ballpark. So, while the car is...cute....I would never spend that kinda figure on it. The M850 both inside and outside doesn't look like a ~1900 a month ride. No matter how it drives it did not look that premium. Lets see those real life leases as they start coming...
