2011 335i mods
Hey guys hows it going this is my first BMW (2011 335i xDrive sedan) and first post here on the forums so excuse any noob mistakes here . Anyway i am looking to start off with some cosmetic mods such as headlights since i have the yellow halogen lights as daytime running lights, replace the grill, tints, and rims. Now my question is what do you guys think would look better on a sapphire black 335i, a matte black grill or black with a glossy finish? The rims I'm looking into getting are VMR V710 in gunmetal or matte black, but since i feel all black is common just thought of doing something different and looks a bit more slick not sure yet. And tints ive been told to do 35% since 20 or 15 might be too dark.. Whats are your opinions on these?
Thanks alot Ill try to throw in some pictures in a couple mins. |

Congrats and welcome to the forum!!!
I say gloss black grill and gunmetal or anthracite rims. For tint, it depends how tough the cops are where you are. 35% is ok, which is what I have. If you can get away with it, 20% would be sweet.

I have a sapphire black e92 with flat black kidneys and rims and I love the look, 15% tint all around!
Then it's time for a JB4 so you smile every time you drive

I have a bsm e92 with gloss black grilles. I was running satin black vmr vb3s for a while, which I took from my previous le mans blue car. I decided it was too much black and ended up plastidipping them in a subtle metallic gunmetal. I like this look much more. There's enough contrast to break everything up while still looking dark.
As far as tint, I had 15% on my last car, which was just a little too dark. I haven't had a chance to get this one tinted yet but, when I do, I'll likely go with a 30 or 35% For the angel eye bulb upgrade, I'd look to lux. I think they're around $200, but I could be wrong. If you're willing to spend more, OSS or One Eighty would be the way to go. And welcome to the forum! Enjoy the car!

Welcome! definitely black grilles and anthracite/gunmetal wheels. OSS is the way to go which can also be done by Lightwerks, or yourself. Lux Angel eyes if you dont want to open up your headlights, everything else is a fail. Good luck and happy modding.

So i put on the grill and removed the front plates along with installing led upgrade for halos.. Shouldve gone with lux but ill be upgrading to OSS soon and get them done at lightwerkz which is about 20 mins up the road from me here in NJ.
Now im moving onto getting the VMR710's in Gunmetal and tires. i just dont know what offsets/measurements i need since this is my first time looking for new rims/tires. Any suggestions for a aggressive looking e90 xdrive with sport package? |

Wheel and tire size?
Nice... What size wheels ? ET? What size tires? I've been thinking of the 710's or 810's for mine. Want to see the pics when you get them installed!
I did the PPK 1 and really like the difference in response. |
