Can i check performance from OBD diagnostic utility?
Hi Guys,
I apologize if this has been discussed before but i'm not sure exactly what terms i should be searching for. I have an E92 335i (2007) and also own an icarsoft i910 diagnostic utility. My question is are there any live parameters which give an indication of power output at any given time? My remapped SAAB 95 used to be able to display the amount of air 'required' by the ECU to meet the power demand and consequently show the amount of air actually making it into the engine, thus giving an indication of premature wastegate opening etc. Basically if the two numbers matched i could be certain i was getting full power. I've seen several bluetooth OBD utilities which link with mobiles/tablets and give some funky readouts and i wonder if i can interpret the raw data in some way? I'm no mechanic but i would like to check that everything is optimal. Hopefully i'm not asking a totally stupid question here! Many thanks, George Last edited by georgejolliffe; 06-16-2014 at 06:58 AM.. |
