Unhappy Lost Center Wheel Cap

Seems several M235 owners are losing their center wheel caps... just lost mine. Anyone know what is the size and where to get one?

I lost mine too. You can get it at your dealership for about 15$

Lost one today, dealer replaced it N/C. They do fit kind of loose, you might want to wrap some tape around the inside so they fit snug.

If necessary, u can also use some clear super-glue of whatever sort to ensure they never come off again. However, as long as the car is under warranty, I'd simply get BMW to replace free of charge, because this is not a common problem/issue on BMWs.

Funny I just noticed my passenger side front was lose the other day and popped it back down. I've never had any issues with caps on any of my other BMW's, I wonder what the issue is?

Interesting development. This is new for the M235i wheels and not seen this on other factory BMW wheels. Now I have to go out and check all my wheels

Found my right front hanging loose on my M235 on Friday before viewing this thread. Have never had this happen in 20 years of BMW ownership. Something is up with this.

I too have never had this happen on any of my BMW's. Funny thing I saw another m235 on the road and it too was missing a front cap! Must be something with the way the caps fit these rims.

Same here - I have had 4 other BMWs and never lost one - my left front one was missing a couple of weeks ago. I ordered a new one from Bavarian Autosport and it fit perfectly. ~$20 with shipping...

Just checked mine again and my drivers side front was lose (last time it was the passenger side front). Anybody loose a rear one yet? Perhaps the issue is only with the fronts?

This is really weird and disappointing. I can tell u from experience I've never had an OEM cap come off. However, when it came to attaching OEM stickers to my after-market winter tire caps, I did notice that the stickers are metal and have a non-flat dome shape to them that is not conducive to sticking on the flat surface of the plastic centre cap (despite the existing tacky tape). I needed to super glue them on and never had a problem w them, albeit sometimes they are a really tight fit for aftermarket caps. Sounds like BMW has a problem and for God sakes let BMW pony-up for replacements, since the car is on warranty and this is surely not driver error.

Hmm I'll have to reinforce mine so this doesn't happen.

Checked mine before and after 200 mile mountain run this past weekend. Still tight. Could be a bad batch of either wheels or caps that is the issue.

I hope it's something like just a bad batch. Would hate if this was an issue across the line of 2 series cars.

You should have ask your dealership to replace it. Cause you know they always make it right

i lost mine, TWICE, same wheel. first time it happened on the very first trip from the dealer, then again after around 600km. dealer replaced free of charge but my time and hassle is not free. i suspect some issue with that particular wheel (slightly too big?). if it happens again i will put sticky tape on the inside.

Did you actually go to the dealer? Seems they could drop it in the mail and time / hassle could be cut to the 30 seconds to open the package and pop the damn thing in. I'm asking bc assuming mine may pop out at some point did they actually need to see the car for some reason?

first time i pick the new cap up from the showroom as arranged by the sales guy. second time the sales guy is not willing to follow up so i have to drive the car to the service center. dont think in HK the dealer/service center would just mail any replacement part out.

just took a look at my pictures (waiting for it to be redelivered!), looks like all four wheel caps were still intact after 1200 miles in Europe.
