Play in bushes

Hi all,

Just got my Michelin PSS's fitted so decided to pay the aligners a visit. Prior to them even doing anything, they checked the front two wheels and stated that there is play in the bushes hence not worth aligning prior to getting them replaced.

They said this is common for E92's. So my question is, is this the case? Even for a 2011 E92 that's only done ~30k miles? If so, i'm assuming this would come under wear and tear and therefore not a warranty item?

My local indy quote just over £300 for replacing the front two.

I knew it was going to be an expensive Saturday... but not this expensive!

Bushes are a wear part so unfortunately not covered on the warranty.

You'll have to excuse my ignorance. This includes the lower control arm too.

Your indie has more than likely quote for arms to be replaced which houses the bushes!!
The cheaper fix would be to remove the arms and just replace the bushes which can some times be a nightmare to remove and that's probley why you was quoted 300!

Can I get away with just replacing the bushes, or recommendations would be to change the arms too? Thinking of safety here
