Just a heads up to members...
I was actually suppose to buy this car last weekend, but got totally dicked around by the seller. I had money in hand, we had an agreement and he wasn't even close to following up on his end. (I even went up in price for his demands to fix the things that were wrong). I spent $600 flying out to check/pick up the car because we agreed on a time for when it would be ready and it wasn't at all. Everything he said he would do, he tried to do overnight so it was done very poorly or not at all. I'm a little upset to say the least and I think people should know the truth about this seller and car. I tried to get all of the information possible. This isn't my first time buying a car out of state, so I had a good idea of the questions and pictures of things to ask for. Basically he told me what I wanted to hear. Then the night before I was flying up, he started saying that his mechanic painted the car a different color. Turns out the mechanic was his roommate...painting the car in their backyard. I couldn't cancel the flight so I went up. Then I get a text when I land saying the ballast was bad and the new one wouldn't be there in time. Also when we agreed for him to pick me up from the airport, he wasn't there for an hour and I eventually took a bus to meet him. At this point I was still trying to be optimistic about things. Sure a few things went wrong, but I could fix them. Driving to his house he started to bring up more concerning things about the car (fitment, interior, engine problems). Then once I saw the car everything just started to pile on top of each other. There were multiple things wrong with the car that I wasn't told about. Here's some... -turn signals didn't work up front. -front leds were broken because ballast wasn't there. -fitment is terrible on everything! Thats not being mean, the whole car is off -trunk is positioned towards one side (the right), all body panels weren't placed back in original place, hood doesn't fit right, there are too many to mention -the hood had vents, so they used insulation foam to cover up -the car was nasty dirty inside, he didn't clean at all. This is from the floors, to the seats, to even the trunk. Like rotten pieces of food... - the paint is HORRIBLE! he painted the car himself and it needs to be fixed. This car is probably a good 4-5 different whites when I saw it. The carbon fiber back diffuser sits terribly on spray painted black bottom rear bumper. -controls on the seats are floppy and barely work. -there are screws missing everywhere so the car is basically falling apart. I drove it for about 10 minutes and the front bumper almost fell off. There is much more, but I hope you get the hint. Don't waste your money and I would avoid this seller/car. |

they rob,
i see that you are still bitter with what happened. here is my side of the story. Yes the car is heavily modiffed so you cant expect everything to be oem perfect, espcially at the price you offered me. You can't even by a stock 335i with my milage with your offer. I sent you every picture you requested and you still wanted to come check it out. You gave me a week to clean the car and fix the whole car. I would have been able to do it if it wasn't for the paint problem. i offered to pay to reschedule your flight cause i knew you would have been disappointed with the paint because i was. i told you beforehand everything wrong with the car. You knew all those thing before you even booked the flight. So so making seem like you were surprise with any of there little problem. me offering to pick you up at the airport was far beyond what i needed to do and now you say u had to wait. anyone hearing you description of my car would not even take it if it was free, yet you still offered to by my car for a little less then what we agree. either you are very stupid for still wanting to buy my car, or you are just hatin cause i didn't sell you the car. Plus car is sold anyways... Quote:

Now i just feel like you didn't want me to buy the car in the first place. I wasn't bitter, I tried helping another member first and he thought I should post the info here.
I'm confused with the offering part because I gave you what you asked for, plus more for you to fix the things. Once I saw the car, thats when I changed my offer because I knew it had to be repainted and that could cost upwards of $3500 at least. Then what I offered was very fair. I knew a general estimate of what it would have taken to fix the car and put that into consideration. |
