Loved that E90 - a shame the residual was too high! New A3 is lighter, tossable and fun, unlike my test drives of the F30.

Congrats on new car, too bad it lacks a manual trans option. How much smaller does the A3 feel compared to the 3 series?

I don't think there will be much of market for a manual A3 Sedan once the Sportback and S3 hit the market, but the 2.0T + DSG combo is quite good.

Depending how you set up the front seats, the cockpit feels comparable to the E90 and a different class than the F30, but the backseat is definitely tight, especially if you are 6' +. The trunk with Quattro is small, but fine for a weekend's worth of baggage.

The A3 lists for roughly 20K less than what the 335xi optioned out to, 55K. Paid invoice, about 32.5K, but since residual is not as high as BMW, a 36M/10K lease is about $250 less per month.

Love what you did to the rims on the E90, you should do the same with the A3. Congrats... love the color.

See above - it's really a 7/8 A4, or the original A4 in terms of size.
