MOST Bus Question(s)

This relates to the 6FL retrofit, using a TCU + MULF2 in parallel. All the 6FL retrofit instructions I can find only talk about replacing the factory TCU/MULF (low basis) with a MULF High Basis, and modifying the MOST bus connections related to that. I need another MOST connection to plug into the MULF2, while leaving the one that's in my TCU where it is. The only thing I need the MULF2 to do is handle the USB interface.

I have the pre-wire option for Satellite radio (S693A), so there is a fiber optic line/connector in my trunk, that is close enough to connect to the MULF2. Would it be possible to use that connection to plumb the MULF2 into the MOST bus, using the S693A retrofit instructions as a guide for which lines to move around?

As I understand it, the MOST Bus is just a big series loop, and it doesn't matter what device is inserted into it, or where, as long as it doesn't break the loop (maintains the correct direction of light flow). So my thinking is that if I move the Sirius connections on the junction blocks according to the instructions for that retrofit, but plug the Sirius connector into the MULF2, it should work after I code for the 6FL option.

Am I even in the ballpark here, or am I completely out to lunch?

Any input is appreciated.

Thanks.

Cheers!

Any chance you're willing to try this out...? I have the exact same question as you, except I have the Sirius module in the car (I don't use it).

Or if anyone else could provide an answer...!
