1 more 'Sleep' until new car day
Well after a long wait since 3 February when I placed order, I have my car due delivery tomorrow.
I elected for delivery rather than collection as inherently lazy lol ( actually was easier than trip to London). I have the morning working from home waiting for car and then work for afternoon, so will be an evening drive around, already worked out route I drive the outbound, the darling wife drives the return. Will obviously post some pics at some point. My loyal and very good E91 is collected Wednesday with a mere 13200 miles on clock. On it's last trip to Pembrokeshire we managed 54.8 mpg there and back and none was at 60. I did notice a nice black 330 xdrive on the M4 near Cardiff / Port talbot in the heavy rain on Saturday - looked confident in that crap weather As mentioned previously mine is without adaptive, so will see how it is from harsh E91 msport suspension to ride high xdrive on F31. Oh well just have to wait 24 hours now ---- arrrrrrhhhhhh. |

hope the new car is all that you hoped - I have had mine for 5 days and am totally loving it - massive difference to the e90 in my opinion - I do not have adaptive either and I find the m sport ride solid but very comfortable

Nearly there Brigand, a long wait, I'm sure it will be worth it.
I had to chuckle at one point of your post, I only laughed as I can see how this would pan out with me at home. On the return trip back, poor Mrs Brigand, every gadget in that car that can be operated from the passenger seat will be going off! Sport Mode, Comfort Mode, Sat Nav you name it will be adjusted

Not long now, I really hope you have some good weather tomorrow for your delivery and I am sure you will enjoy the drive to work in the afternoon!
I have just passed the 500 mile mark so starting to apply a little more throttle and boy does it go... Long light days at the moment, but you will have to go out when its dark to see the adaptive headlights at work! |

I've managed to get it so that I can see all the display, so happy now!

Car insurance sorted, went for Admiral in the end rather than BMW, comes in at 320 a year for BMW and 158 for the Mondeo.
I don't agree with their definition of options, I think they ran out of room to type them, as I went through all those options linked to Pro Nav etc. Just Gap to sort in morning, hopefully get some discount from Mr Pickles. Off to check out Clean your car etc, might be some last minute purchases |
