Dealer called me to tell me Bmw does not have parts for the seat recall?
Just like stated above. I made an appointment last week for tomorrow to get the recall done. Got a call from the dealership saying BMW does not have the parts. I asked; is it you( dealership ) who doesn't have parts. He said no, bmw doesnt.
Gave them the Vin # 2 weeks ago and they comfirmed the recall, re-scheduled for this week and that? Anyone more info guys?

You would think right. You would assume if they will do recall, the would be prepared

Just to be clear - you guys are talking about the recall of 2006 and 2007 MY cars for the passenger seat occupancy sensor problem, right?

Got the initial need for the recall in January. Got the message in May that the parts were available. Called to schedule and brought the car in. They started the work, then called me and said that they didn't have the part! I re-scheduled (they got the part two days later). Took them all day to get it installed (they said it was their first one - lucky me), then proceeded to break the seat extender in the process, so now it's waiting on those parts. Also as an FYI, the seat mat actually replaces the entire lower leather seat, cusion and all. So if your car has any fading of the leather, you will notice a difference. Ours is garaged, so this was not an issue, but you can definately notice the new leather from the old! Zuti
