You need to be a member for the past 12 months.

A lot of BMW CCA members just have their membership for the rebate. It pays for itself year after year even if you don't read your Roundel or participate in local chapter events.

It's not entirely up to BMWCCA. In face it's up to BMW NA. Having said that I've not seen a new BMW not be included in the rebate program (maybe the 1M since it was so short lived). It's just that some cars take longer than others to be included (by BMW).

I know its BMW NA. That is who i meant that came to there senses. I had called and written them a few times trying to understand why they offered it for the 228 but not the M235i. Glad to see the persistence paid off. Last time i purchased a BMW they took a year to offer it on the model i got. Being a BMWCCA member for over 15 years and loyal BMW customer for a few years longer. Sucks that I haven't been able to take advantage of these rebates.
Glad i can this time.

Same here. Apparently BMW NA thought getting "Year 1 of the 1" around the start button was a good enough trade off for the $500 CCA rebate.

True, but some of the chapter events are fun and Roundel (in general) is great IMO.

Is this strictly a US rebate or do Canadians get the same deal if they join?

EDIT: I see we do through the Canadian club - 2% on 50K = $1000 - twice the rebate in the US, not bad.
