First E92 and loving it! :)

Hi All,

Recently bought my first E92 - July 2008 335D M-Sport with 19'' MV4's in Sparkling Graphite and love it!

I have a couple of questions that I was hoping that folk on here would be able to help me out with?

I have the older CCC Sat Nav with USB and Aux In BUT mine never came with Bluetooth. Is there a way I can get Bluetooth retrofitted as it seems that I have all the other parts required? Is it just a recoding exercise? How much would it cost roughly?

Is it easy to change the standard kidney grills to black ones (novice at stuff like this)?

I want to add one of those colour coded M3 spoilers that lots sell on ebay (think they have 3M tape to attach?) Are they easy to fit accurately? And do they stay on in a car-wash etc?

Hope to enjoy this place loads and learn a lot from others!

Cheers

P.S. When I learn how to upload a pic, I will!

Hi Mate, welcome to the e9x club

Your first question, yes it should be possible to retrofit Combox where you will get BT on your car. Not sure when it comes to CCC vs CIC, but the best person to look for is Makkan (Sam). Look for his thread somewhere he offers this service. And its not simple, better to get someone that knows what he is doing

Kidney Grilles should be easy as pie. I actually had mine vinyl wrapped in black instead.

and no, spoilers won't come off your car on a car wash. I bought mine from ssdd motorsports, comes with some adhesive tape.

Perhaps others can chime in

Cheers guys for the welcome and the feedback!

I think I will order my spolier today then Do they have a template of where to attach them accurately or is it a guessing game lol?

Thanks also for the info on the Bluetooth retrofit. I will try and message Makkan (Sam) and ask more about it and what it needs to get it done.

Do I need to upload pics from my own hosted space or can I upload image straight from my laptop?

Thanks again

Just met Teddy @ SSDD (top bloke) during my lunch break and picked myself up a colour coded M3 spoiler

Once I have it fitted, I will post some pics!

Thanks all

Now to get my kidney grills swapped out and replaced with some black ones and then talk to Makkan about sorting out a Bluetooth retrofit into the car!

Due to my driveway being on an angle and nearly grounding out already, I cannot do any lowering until I move lol!

Any other suggestions for mods are always gratefully received

Must find some decent equaliser settings for my Logic 7 as well!

hi mate i have the same colour car. i painted my own grills (very easy) and it took me a few days of deciding on a colour. In the end i went with sparkling graphite sorrounds and black inserts and i think it suits our car great (everyone gets black). Food for thought...

Also bluetooth is easy to install

151264190059 - thats your bluetooth reciever with built in aux cable

231012628032 - thats your usb power source.

Plug the power source into the plug under the armrest center console. Connect the usb stick and plug aux cable into aux port, sorted

Links are to ebay items

Love what you did with the kidney grills! I am useless 'with a capital U' at spraying anything lol but yours do look great

So I already have all the aux and usb sockets working (and sat nav etc.) so do I need all the bits and bobs above? (currently using my old iPhone 4 for music using the iPhone cable).

Cheers!
