BMS Performance Intake, great fitment, comes with a really well made bracket and you can really tell a difference if you're using a tuner. Also the sound is addicting

I just installed the BMS on my car (which is stock). No significant gains but the sound is well worth the price.

BMS intake here as well. As far as performance, an aftermarket intake is minimal. Most people will like the sound of it.

Really need a tune to be able to reap the benefits of an aftermarket intake. The stock intake provides plenty of air for the turbo to boost to its stock 8(.5?) psi. Once you start tuning and ask the turbo to make more boost, it obviously needs more air to do so. Thats where the aftermarket intake helps out. IMHO a tune and an aftermarket intake go hand in hand

I personally went with this:
http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-17...-si-pro5r.aspx My biggest reasoning behind it is that it's sealed, and my past experience with BMW engines is that they run very hot. There is supposedly increased flow with a heatshield that fits over the stock airbox. I haven't received it yet but it was on sale for $250 + free shipping at Turner last month. The videos online of it sounded really good as well. |
