the CCBs look amazing. Not many cars are offering CCBs, i feel like they are a must.

I did a brembo kit on my E92 M3 for 7k, 8k for ceramics is a no brainer.

No tracking, only for looks. Seems a bit crazy but a Sakhir ext. with blue brakes doesn't do it for me. The 'gold' CCB however.. perfect match!

Wouldn't do it if I should choose another ext. color though.

If your deciding factor on an $8k set of brakes is visual appeal...then...well...

Seriously?

I don't buy these kind of cars very often, also don't switch them like others on the forum do. If I buy a car, it has to be to my exact liking without compromise.
Do you really think the majority of the people who buy CCB on their M5/M6 & M6 GC track the car? No, it's all about the bling factor.

As a compensation I left several options out I don't really need. It's well worth the cost to me for visual appeal and for spirited driving.

You mean similarly to how people here buy $8K wheels, exhausts just for noise, carbon panels/splitters on a 3600# car, full leather interiors, $3K coilovers for the drop, etc.

I don't know why CCB brakes constantly get called out when other, clearly cosmetic stuff for fun, doesn't get judged with the same level of scrutiny.

well said. I've been pondering the CCB option, but I have no illusions about the fact that most of the motivation is aesthetics.

I personally don't care about the color of the calipers or how many pistons there are. The reduction in weight and rotational mass are the major reasons to get the CCB.

You will be surprised how much better the ride is when you remove 5+ lbs of unsprung weight at each corner.
