As stated thousands of times in this forum: Top HiFi inputs are MOST proprietary and not S/PDIF PCM.

I just want to know how to connect our cars MOST digital to a digital amp/processor instead of downgrading to an analog signal?

Of course it bothers me, because you are in a HiFi thread.

MOST in the BMW always been proprietary. Since introduction 12 years ago. This is nothing new. And still we have forum members asking the same thing over and over again. No intention of searching, no intention of even understanding what they are asking. It gets tiresome really quick.

Whoever told you about the Prima line accepting MOST as is is not telling you the full story. This is not the thread to question a Top HiFi install into a Prima device, you need to ask Audison.

WOW man don't you understand there are people here who just bought their BMW or have never had that model before with this audio set up don't you think you could be a little nicer about it everyone here is only trying to learn more about their car and how to accomplish something new they have never done before?? I think if you want to be the one to reply to everyone's posts or PMs then you should have an understanding of this and try to have some sort of patience with people!! I think it is kinda rude for you to reply to people like you do (as I've seen over and over again) on this forum If you have the knowledge to help then help!! there's no need to be an ASS about it

why would this be a HIFI thread the only thing ive seen that says HIFI is what you wrote originally

How are you using the channels?

How are you using the channels?
What are the suggested channel assignments and
speaker substitutes if any ? I thought this thing didn't have
a lot of power per channel.
The Helix equivalent has more power per channel .
Discuss benefits and trade offs please.
How are you using it?

On the flip side, try understanding that you aren't the first person to ever think about modifying their top-Hifi system so maybe you could have searched first before asking the question. It goes both ways.

The Helix PP82DSP accepts only high level inputs. Using low level balanced makes the PP82DSP to output a much lower volume level than using high level inputs because the built-in attenuation/level conversion cannot be disabled. The 8.9 bit inputs can be switched from high level to low level and back via software.

I will be using this AP8.9 bit in a HiFi system of an E90 M3 soon. A center speaker will be installed while the rest of the speakers will remain OEM. Max power output published by Audison puts this unit at about 5 times the power output of the OEM HiFi amp. This bump in power plus time alignment, DSP EQ and crossovers should give a considerable sound improvement over the OEM HiFi.

In all, 7- out of 8-ch outputs will be used. No dedicated trunk sub. Install thread will follow with notes and tips.

It would have been much better if you have searched... the link would have shown quickly without the attitude.

Move on... nothing else to see here.

I was expecting something more like a $1000 worth of sound improvement, not getting $400 for $1000.
