Prices in here look good - https://www.bmw-service.co.uk

Has BMW UK finally set prices at a national level?

I'm getting the following which are decent prices for BMW dealers IMO.

All Inc VAT
£189 - Engine oil service with microfilter.
£62 - Brake fluid
£67 - Vehicle check
£199 - Front pads
£169 - Rear pads

Just punched my plate in to see.

Oil service, microfilter and spark plug service is only £254.

That's actually an impressive price for a 335i.

Thank god i do all the services and work on my own car.

£199 for some pre-pubescent school leaver apprentice to change my brake pads... Overseen by a 21 year old 'master super technician mechanic'

Erm no thanks

How is your 320d that expensive?. I agree pads are too much though.

I'm £254 for major service, brake fluid £62, vehicle check £67 and £199 and £169 for pads.

£751 for a 335i and £980 for a 320d?

The chances of needing all work done on one visit is pretty slim. I would still avoid brakes at these prices, but the actual service costs are good considering the car and what others charge.

There's no way your 320d comes out at that as my 330d doesn't. In fact the brake fluid on my car comes out at £45 so quite a bit cheaper that what the 335i cars are being quoted.

Wow, thanks for posting this - I have a service due very soon so this will hopefully save me some dosh!

Brake fluid change at bmw-service.co.uk = £45
Brake fluid change on local Sytner website = £105.31 !!

Is it possible to book an MOT at the same time or can you just arrange that when they confirm the booking?

Front and rear pads with brake fluid and full service

The M47 is a bit of a pig to change the airfilter so maybe thats where the telephone numbers come from

It must be because its the 163bhp version. Mines an 08 320d 177bhp on 73k

Just checked mine, and the oil service including microfilter, fuel filter and air filter change was £301

The brake fluid service was £45

Veichle check £50

Actually pleased with those prices, last time i rang up for a quote on the brake fluid service it was £140

Anyone know if the k&n panel filter actually does anything? Debating when it goes in to have the air filter changed or not? It came on the car by the way

Brake fluid on my 330d is £45 - very good value- however Oil Service with Microfilter, Air Filter and diesel fuel filter is a whopping £527.

Pre-LCI?

I assume so. The air filter on the 231PS engine is a pig of a job. So much so that they moved it on the 245PS. 5 minutes instead of two hours labour!

If you can work a socket set, you're much better off doing it yourself. It'll still take ages, but you won't need to remortgage your home!

Yes it is Pre LCI and I do change the air filter myself. Its not too bad when you've done it a couple of times or fit the job around something else.

I used the link above to get a price for my vehicle check service and was quoted £67 + £16.**p for the standard scope, entered my details and was called back by my selected dealer who proceeded to tell me I needed to get my key checked as the car could be due any service. So I called the same dealer today and had no trouble booking the vehicle check required but I forgot to ask about the price, called them back and was quoted £133 for the vehicle check service, mentioned the price quoted on the bmw website on which they come up as a participating dealer and was told to bring the prices I was quoted from the website and they will honour them, so I've photo shot the deal offered, will that be satisfactory to get the website price??

I still think main dealer prices are extreme (after working for a vw dealer)

charge god knows what an hour labour and pass on £9 to the technician (if they are lucky)

the price for the brakes makes me cringe. get some pads yourself OEM or uprated and fit yourself. its a very simple DIY job and maybe dealers will lower their prices when they get less work as people resort to DIY

Same with the brake pad warning sensors

Just short them out when replacing pads. The sensors are just for people that have no idea about cars
