Probably. I drove the 12c as you suggested and it was pretty insane. Ironically, the dealer had a black 650s that I had a pretty darn good shot at getting if I wanted it. But for some reason the looks of the car just don't grab me. But you were definitely right. The way they drive is insane!

They do but normally they need help--- the AWD system kills the cars up top as I found out in my pre modded 996TT, 997.1TT, and 997.2TT PDK (less here with the PDK). But a simple ECU tune and the car runs much better as seen by the modded 997.2 pull even on the Speciale.

Yep- the McClaren is the fast stock beast for sure. Its just how bad do you want to buy a 300k plus car that will be worth 50% in 2 years. This is what is going on now with the MP4; the 2012's are ACV'ing with lower miles in the 160's. But money is relative so for me- it would be the value I get out of it over the time of ownership. I think I'd get a used MC for that 160 price if I was in the market. Ill tell you this, Id rather buy a 2010 458 for 200k all day as its just the better car for me.

Dun go there dude. A 650S is gonna ruin your future car ownership big time. Where else do u go from there after a 650S?

Yep- the McClaren is the fast stock beast for sure. Its just how bad do you want to buy a 300k plus car that will be worth 50% in 2 years. This is what is going on now with the MP4; the 2012's are ACV'ing with lower miles in the 160's. But money is relative so for me- it would be the value I get out of it over the time of ownership. Unfortunately, 12C prices aren't falling so badly where I am. I am hoping to get a used 650S a couple of years down the road to accompany the Speciale. At the rate Mac is going, I can't imagine what they will be bringing out next.

I understand that the 12C already outruns the Aventador Indeed, the Macs doesn't have the same type of flair compared to traditional Italian exotics. They are engineered for a different kind of experience. While I am no fan of lambos in general, the Aventador makes my hair stand each and every time I see one. It's on-road presence is unrivaled and the sound that damn V12 makes... Mac is actually my fav sports car manufacturer. I like their approach towards making cars. After I have ticked off the last car in my bucket list (Speciale), i will definitely own a Mac. It will be the next P15 if not the 650S. As much as many Ferrari owners dun care too much abt absolute speed in the straights and on tracks, over time, it will wear them out if they keep having sand kicked in their faces by the Macs. Ferrari is feeling the heat these days and there is a lot of talk on the 458 replacement being turbo charged (heaven forbid) to be competitive with the Mac and Porsche Turbos. Both are starting to eat their lunch these days. Competition is always good for us
