Zaino

Has anyone used Zaino polish/sealant products? Are they as good as the internet says they are?

I've used Zaino on my black (040) Mercedes C-class.
For me personally the regimen was ludicrous: mixing chemicals and waiting to dry. I know since then, they've come out with quicker easier products for application - still they try to sell you a litany of different steps.

The Good - I liked very much their spray detailers and spray gloss enhancers. The paint regimen results were to my eyes a coating of gloss, always made me want to compare it to 'Liquid Glass'. In the end I stopped using it because I didn't enjoy applying it.

I will say this, they have a pink swirl mark corrector liquid ( forget the name ) that was the best compound I ever used - but that was strictly for damage and I was hand applying no electric equipment.

For my new M235 I'm going with the BMW Natural line of wash and wax and maybe BMW microfiber towels.

The Zaino Terry applicators they were selling when I used their products were not good.

Finally, there was so much application of different products with wait times - it increased the likely hood of applying a swirl to the paint. I'm now convinced the simple wash with P2i car wash soap or similar sugar based surfactant is the best for the paint and carnauba based liquid or paste when NEEDED is best for the paint.

Thanks - I'll probably stick with carnauba

I have been using zaino for close to 10 years now, yes it's a lot of work but to me it's well worth it. I try to do it 2-3 times a year and maintain it w/ their cars wash and z8 detail spray. However, this is mostly for cars with minor swirls or none at all, if you have a lot of swirls, then you need something abrasive, which most of zaino products are not

I've used Zaino for many years now. The results are great, but it is an involved task.
I'm going to try Chemical Bros. stuff on my M235, and see if i like it better.

What color is your car? The Armorall black kit is easy to use with surprisingly good results, if you've got black that is. My gf used a magic eraser (don't get me started) on her car and it looks shockingly good after just an hour's work.

I used Zaino years ago on a Honda Accord. Worked great and looked awesome. Only downside was the time to apply the product - it took me nearly two days to go through the whole procedure from start to finish. Worth it though.

Zaino

I've been using it exclusively since I got my black E46 M3 in 2002, and on all my black cars since then including the last 2 black 135's. Takes about 3 hours to apply 2 coats of the polymer sealant. About another hour if you need to use the pink swirl/paint cleaner first. I only need to use that once a year. Amazing shine and long-lasting. I only need to do it 3 times a year. Use the Z8 detail spray in between. Even with the heat here in Florida (which degrades carnauba in about 6 weeks vs. 6 months for polymer based polish), nothing (bird shit, bugs, etc.) sticks to the paint.

I use Zaino exclusively on my Maserati and I agree, it's a long process but the results are incredible. I will be using Zaino on my M235.

Try the Klasse products. Equivalent results to Zaino IMO and easier.
