N54 Catless Straight Pipe - Resonator??

Hi everyone

I recently modified my e92's exhaust to a custom straight pipe exhaust (with catless downpipes, secondary cats deletes, and muffler deletes)

This setup is too raspy for me, so I'd like to accomplish the following

1 - Slightly quieter cold startup
2 - Decrease drone from the muffler delete
3- Decrease rasp from secondary cat delete

I know that resonators typically resolve these issues so I went ahead and ordered two ar20 resonators.

My question is: where should I position the new resonators on the exhaust? I want to accomplish a slightly quieter cold start and reduce some drone + rasp. I believe my options are (1) same place the OEM secondary cats were located (2) where the OEM mufflers were located or (3) as a side branch resonator somewhere near the rear of the exhaust.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

i added two resonators in place of mufflers on my straight pipes, rasp is almost completely gone, drone is still horrible on the highway and it doesn't gurgle and pop as much on downshifts.

this was the only place they could fit them on the stock e92 exhaust, we tried to get them closer to the downpipes but they wouldn't fit....if you're trying to reduce drone this probably wont help.

Thanks for replying. What brand/model of resonators did you go with? I went with 2x of theAero AR20s.

Installing cats is the only thing that'll fix smells. Mufflers won't do anything.
