Retrofit reversing cam

Anyone know if reversing cam can be retro fitted and how much!! Asked my dealer last week and he says oofft that will be expensive I will find out and let you know.......still not heard anything so was wondering if anyone had had it done?.

There's no official option

It's approx 1000 euro for OEM parts

Does your car have rear PDC and Navigation? If so, OEM kit is available through Bimmer-tech. Its about $1K and includes the OEM camera module, OEM rear cam with new trunk release handle, the necessary wiring and programming.

I have had a couple of e-mails with Patryk regarding the Bimmer Tech options.
Has anyone in the UK done either his OEM or retrofit option and have any feedback on the process?

With Bimmer Tech, paying by PayPal or credit card (recommended) attracts a 3.5% surcharge, and being in the EU we have to pay VAT at Polish rates which is 23%. The current Euro to GBP exchange rate is 1 Euro = £0.814.

The OEM at 899 Euros works out at £930.
The retrofit at 449 Euros works out at £465.

The OEM requires PDC and Navigation, the retrofit above and all options below don't require any special options.

With regards to other options, I have found:

XCarLink have a retrofit that doesn't have the dynamic parking lines for £350 at http://xcarlink.co.uk/product.php?pr...&cat=16&page=1 (you need to add the boot handle camera)

Car Solutions do a video interface that supports dynamic parking lines at:

and a camera at

http://car-solutions.com/en/rear-vie...-x3-series.php
delivered to the UK, this is around £350 including taxes.

Though this is probably more of a proper DIY solution.

Has anyone else looked at any of these, or any other retrofit options?
