Lemon Interior = Dirty?
Well, I'm sure some of you have had your lemon interior E90's for a while now! How's about some word on how difficult it is to keep clean, or some dirrty photo's?
I'm getting it in 2 months, and I'm worried. From experience, what makes it dirty and stained? |

Light color interiors start to get dirty almost immediately after the vehicle is unlocked. If the vehicle remains locked at all times then dirt won't be a problem.

Anyone remeber the BMW INDIVIDUAL champagne leather? It was also a very light cream...Had that once and it wasn't SOOO bad. Yes, we used BMW leather cleaner and a soft sponge EVERY weekend...but in general it looked ok?!? (Me wearing my jeans and all) |

I'm sorry what's this? Lemon leather will pick up the color from denim jeans if you wear them in the car? Wow that's pretty unreasonable. Maybe I'm not so sad about not getting Lemon after all.

Abdulh (Arctic/Lemon) would be the right person to answer your question but he's probably busy cleaning the interior right now ! |

My current car ( a Toyota ) has beige leather interior , and after 2.5 years it's spotless. I wear jeans and I've never had any problems.
I think my advantage is that I'm a single guy with no kids , but hey , it can be done !!! |

Ok...so I was having like omg lemon interior thoughts, so i just popped into bmw again today and even though it's going to be such a hassle to keep clean, it's soooo soooo nice...it's so stylish i just can't say no!
The salesman said that if once a week you just clean the seats with the bmw leather cleaner and a sponge...it'll stay clean and look good. Also, it has black carpeting, unlike the beige...so it's easier! |

Hi All
I took deleivery of my Black sapphire 320d with Lemon leather, sports pack and sunroof on the 12th May. It looks great and i haven't noticed a mark or dirt spot on them in three weeks, and trust me i am fussy. Stephen |

3 weeks yes. 3 years no. Black will look nearly perfect after 3 years. All light colored leathers show distress much sooner.

I disagree about light colours not looking great after three years, In my old 325 i had the individual champagne nappa and that looked good even after four years and two kids in the back.

OO I loved that champagne leather...it just looked so hot :-) The lemon looks veyr similar to it, but the dakota is not nearly as soft as the nappa...*sigh*

I ordered jade grey in my e92 which is very light as well and gets dirty easily. My dealer told me that it is easy to keep clean as long as I take care of it

I have Dacota grey (have a look at http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55680) which is very similar to lemon. It gets dirty indeed. Not too much but you cant avoid it.
Anyway it cleans very easy and painless.
