Car just arrived at dealership, I have dilemma.

My car just arrived, which is great timing as we have a new incentive this month the extra 1000 off.

Now I have dilemma, there is another 1000 credit I can get off on May 23rd for the Drive Event promo. I can wait it out but here is the issue I see with that....

I'm doing a lease turn in, my next payment is in 5 days and I had planned not to pay it since I dealer would just eat the cost. If I wait till the 23rd I'm assuming I have to pay my bill which would still net me 400 dollars but at that point I don't know if its worth waiting even longer.

My question is, (I haven't asked my dealer, cause I figure they would BS me just to get the car out of the lot) do I have to make that payment, and if I miss it will it effect my deal?

First, what drive event promo? I heard that there is no credit given this year. You can ask the dealer to extend it for a week or two. I have heard people doing this with no problem.

He's prob talking about the $1,000 options credit.

He mentioned the $1,000 options credit, which should be applicable regardless of whether he takes delivery now or in two weeks. He mentioned the drive event credit which is something I heard about but was also confirmed that there is no credit for the drive event. That's why he's wondering if he can delay the delivery. I don't get this one either.

1. To net 400 not worth the effort
2. For some reason with this car the dealers have had a sense of entitlement to BS - don't give them an in to BS more

You save maybe $30 a month... Get a Prius if $30 is more important to you than picking up your new car.

Wait this is all over $400? Just go get you car. It could get scratched, stolen, wrecked, breathed on wrong. A pigeon could shit on it.

If it's $400 you should just pick it up now. Make sure that there will be a credit for that additional $1k. Otherwise this is all a moot point.

now that's scary. i've been to two dealerships and all the m235i's they have on the lot have noticeably hard driven wear on the tires. but i'd like to think once a car is sold, a big SOLD sign is placed on there. either way i would request your CA to take a picture of the mileage and SOLD sign to prevent it from being used as a demo.

Thank you all, and I agree with a lot on what was said. I'm picking it up tomorrow....

Either way it seems a lot of people don't know about the Ultimate Drive Event that happening now on top of the 1000 options credit.

Starting May 22nd down here in Florida, various dealership are hosting Ultimate Drive Events for the 4 series, which nets you a 1000 credits towards a purchase.

It stacks with all promos, and I believe has an expiration date of 3 months... You have to participate at the event though (test drive a few cars)

I got my promo packet in the mail a month ago. To this day I have not gotten any confirmation that there will be a monetary incentive to participate, like there was previously. It isn't mentioned in the documents I received, nor has any CA said so.

I think the local South Florida dealers are just offering $1k off from the dealership, not from BMW.

That could be it, but my CA is telling me he'll honor regardless which dealership I participate in. Either way, I'm not going to wait - today is the big day !! =)

Can we find out if this allowance is from BMW or dealers? Can I attend the event at one dealer and then get the allowance from another dealer?
