Dealer tried to tell me it was the intake. Even weirder it turns on and off but I don't what's back there that could even make a sound like that. Hope it's not the turbo.

Judging from the lack of replies seems like I have a rare issue.

Not sure on that one but I agree, something doesn't sound right to me either.

Put your stock intake back on and take it back to the dealership.

Yeah. I don't have much choice. I was hoping someone had the same issue so I could tell the dealer what to look for. Seems to me they don't really get in there and figure shit out they just tell you they can't reproduce it. Luckily I reproduced it for the QC guy yesterday.

1. Knocking sound from the front when decelerating (sounds like a half shaft).
2. Something sounds like birds chirping when I come to a full stop quickly.
3. The noise from the engine bay in the video.

All 3 things I told them about and they called me after having the car all day to say they couldn't reproduce any of it. I took my car and drove to a meeting. On the way back I called them to see if the qc guy was available, he was, and I took him for a ride. In some sort of crazy star alignment I got all three noises to happen when he was in the car, I'm still shocked at that.

I'll keep you guys posted as I push the dealer to resolve. I get a weird vibe from them when I take my car in. It's almost like they have an attitude with you unless the thing is on fire. The next closest dealer is way across town so I'm kinda stuck with these guys.
Cheers,
Chad

Ok. I posted somewhere else and people are saying they hear the lifters and to get that checked out, totally ignoring the buzzing. Now I'm concerned about lifter noise. Anyone out there who knows if the lifters sound normal?

Seems that noise is the injecters. Not a knock. The buzzing remains to be solved.

My lifters sound the same way - no idea if it's normal or not. Never really noticed it until I replaced my VCG, PCV and vent pipe. Lots of confusing and contradictory threads on this issue.

Me too, I don't know why but it seems like replacing that gasket causes lifter noise, it did for me anyways.

They're just like kids - they get a little taste of the outside world and start acting up lol. Seriously, this is a strange phenomenon.

I bought the Chassis Ears, the wired kind on Amazon for $100 bucks . .it is amazing how you can pinpoint noises and resolve issues with these . . if you have a strange sound that you can't resolve . . best $100 you could spend.

Yeah, it's under warranty so in theory they ought to figure it out. Thanks for the tip though, I will look into that.

Annnnnd. Nope. Even though the sound was reproduced for them they still blame it on the after market intake. I would totally buy that except it turns on and off. O-well I'll throw on the stock airbox and try to reproduce it.
