WOT question

Car is a 2007 E90 335i Sedan.
Built date sept 2006.

No issues what so ever.
All maintenance done...everything.
Diff and brake oil change soon.

If you are driving say 40-50 cursing, then floor it.
And your window is open a bit..... Do you guys smell something?
I do, every time.

its like a after smell of a gun bullet.
Lol
Goes away in a min.

Does it smell like burning oil?? Could be a Valve cover or Oil filter housing leak, although these engines do run and smell hot.

Just did the OFH Gasket.
Did the Tranny Oil change also with the Machatronic sleeve.

Almost smells like burning oil, but not oil.... Something else.... Could it be carbon build up burning?

Car showed no leaks what so ever.
Where do I have to look to see the valve cover gasket is leaking?

Take a look at the hot(turbo side) of the motor. You will see where the plastic valve cover and head meet. If you see an oil sweat along this edge, your VCG is most likely leaking. Also since the engine is slanted towards that side, the oil tends to drip onto the exhaust manifold and burns off.
