Anyone know? Just got the car and it has the tinted windshield which is nice. However, the auto wiper seems to be a bit erratic. Not sure if it the tint or the way e90s are.

Hmmm....I guess from a physics standpoint, it probably depends upon how much the mirror medium's light scatter properties are changed by adding a tint to the outside of the glass.
The rain sensor module has parameters to adjust for window age. It may react in a similar manner, as if "This window has aged or changed greatly, I need to adjust my sensitivity to account for this change," and you won't notice any difference at all. In theory, it could also react as if there's zero light getting transmitted to the module, and the wipers go into full-on apeshit mode for the entirety of the rain storm |

It's not your tint. I personally think the automatic wipers suck.

Mine work great . . problem is they have to be recoded when you get a new non bmw windshield and most never bother to do that . . . so its not calibrated right to the new glass.
