Hi everybody. I'm Tim, the Tim that some of you may remember from the old e34 and e46 boards back in the day.
I just picked up a 2010 328iX with 60k, that I like very much. Tasman Green. It's my first "modern" bimmer since my 1999 540T. I have never had a dealer service or repair any of my cars, ever. My tastes run towards sleepers: dark knights w/ chrome, or a color, with everything else blacked. Anyway, the first pic is from the dealer lot. It was a tradein from an elderly automotive hypochondriac, and the service boys were so confident, they CPO'd it till 100k/16 under the new program. Anyway, these are the before pictures. This car is really different from anything bmw I've had before. I'm totally satisfied with the performance of the straight six, and have no intentions of changing anything under the hood. After initial wierd feelings about the steering firmness and shift happy tx at low rpm, I got it in sports mode on rte49 from Stonington to Danielson. OMG. OM f'n G. Picked up my checkbook on the way home from the test. So here I am. And never in a million years did I ever think, must have Tasman Green. But I really like it. I've only ever had black or silver. So Green, but over the next few months there's a lot of black going on that car. |
