Does your sunroof do this?
Hi all, I have a 2011 sportwagon with a panoramic sunroof. If my roof is open (to any degree) or tilted when I turn my car off (press the start/stop button once) the roof will start to close for a split second. When I turn the car back on, it reopens/re-tilts to the position it was before I turned it off. Does your sunroof act like this?

Yep my wagon does that. Honestly didn't know exactly what it does; I always forget it does that and like you said, it's only a split second. As soon as I hear the sound and look up it's done! I'll make an effort to watch it today.

It's not the roof, it's the wind deflector in front. It lowers when you shut the car off, and raises up when you turn it on. The actual glass panel does not move. No idea WHY it is setup to do this though.

I'm not quite certain of the setup, maybe a picture would help. But just a guess, it's possible that they drop the deflector to make it less obvious that the roof is open when parked. I know when my own roof is open, you can tell from 100 yards away just by noticing the deflector up. Maybe they do it as a theft deterrent simply because it's easy enough to.
