oh forgot to mention he said no discount on the m235 so mrsp = sales price.
after calculating the numbers i think you r right the interest rate might be the reason this thing is high (4% interest rate). is that high for people? |

$49,900 selling price
60% residual = $29,940 residual value $19,960 total depreciation/36 mo. = $554.44/mo. depreciation Monthly finance charge = 0.00170*(29,940+49,900) = $135.73/mo. $925 acquisition fee rolled in = $25.69/mo. Add it all up = $715.86 * 1.09 tax = $780.29/mo. total They're trying to sell to you at MSRP with marked up money factor and acquisition fee. If this is the best they can do, run (don't walk) away from that dealer. |

Email several dealers in your area and ask for a quote. I was able to get opening offers of $2,250 off on a $51,250 MSRP M235i. That's before any negotiations.
70% of the dealers I contacted told me the same thing: MSRP - take it or leave it. But keep at it and you can find a deal. |

wow thank you you are so helpful. i am glad that you verified my calculation. so it all comes down to interest rate he gave me and the acquisition fee? but acquisition fee is only $900 so it really shouldn't be a big factor right? i guess i just need a dealer who is willing to give me $2k off?
the thing is, he keeps saying "hey u got a great deal already for the 6 month pull-ahead program." well i don't think he did out of his kind heart to give me the 6 month pull-ahead program right? it's bmw corporate's promotion so it doesn't hurt him to give me that promotion. he shouldn't give me less of a promotion just because i get the 6 month pull-ahead! now, he is also saying i need to pay my mileage prorated based on how much i drove so far. but on here, someone said i don't have to pay prorated, and i get all the miles in my lease even if i turn it in early. maybe this dealer is just lying to me... Agreed keep looking. Just $2500 off and a MF in line are going to make a huge difference. Reason I asked about tax is IL for instance, where I live half the time, tax is on whole $50k. PA where I am other half of time is only on 40% you're using. Also makes a big difference. My lease is lower miles but $600 all in nothing down for a similarly priced car.
