Confort Access System?

Good Morning,

I am new to the forum. Looks nice. I just picked up a 2011 328i Convertible over the weekend with 11,xxx miles on it for a great deal. Anyway, can't get the confort Access system to fold in my side mirrors. What it does do lock/unlock, windows up/down and my hardtop but does not fold the side mirrors. Any ideas?

Thanks,

I'm also new to the bmw scene, so take this with a grain of salt. But I don't believe that this is the default behavior, but probably something that could be coded in.

Even with CA? and this is something that is not defaulted? Just surprised. Well, if that is the case. Does anyone have an estimate as to the cost to get this done? Will a dealer do this? or a member on this forum?

I have comfort access as well, and it needs to be coded.

There are a few coders on this board, IDK any off hand but keep looking. Also look on the Regional forums in Wisconsin, maybe find a local coder.

It is not default. Will need to be coded. Post in your regional forum to find someone in your area that does the coding. Might just cost a case of beer.

Go to Bimmerfest and look in the coding section for Ram. He lives in Madison and does a great job.

get bmwhat app, and a wifi obdII connector. You literally hit yes or no and it codes the options for you. Very easy to use and great customer support. It cost me 70 bucks all said and done.

Yes, it must be coded and it just takes a second. I had mine done just a couple weeks ago and I love the feature soooo much!!! A nice member on this board did it for free and I know it would've cost just $10 by another. So ask around your regional members.

Weird, I have CA on my 2012 E92 coupe and when I push the little round button my mirrors fold in without a hitch. Bought it as a demo with 6K on the ticker, so I don't think anything was done to the car by the dealer.

EDIT: NVM, I guess this is specific to convertibles.

Thanks E1 for all the information. I like the idea EMOZOO come up with. I looked at it. BMWhat app has 2 versions available. Would the Lite Version work fine? I would not mind learning more about this app. Does any1 have a step by step DIY and codes?
