In all honesty even if we had beaten you Guys,I don't think England deserved to go any further. On the night Croatia wanted it more, which is the case in most England games, its always the opposing side who show hunger and passion to win. I think our local Saturday team would have given Croatia a better game and possibly won. Hey ho |

The thing is that we've allready qualified before this game.. We could have even lost, but we played for glory, and we won.. That's what makes me happy..
I've got the Pro Nav in my car, but Croatia isn't covered on BMW's nav DVD's.. But I'll surely be using it next summer in Austria and Switzerland.. |

Terza - your side looked great. Organised, never giving England any time on the ball, capitalised on the two half chances in the first half and all for the pride of winning, not because they needed to.
It's how football should be played and I salute your national team for coming and playing a proper game of football. I'm off to Le Mans next June, so at least I won't need to worry about missing any England games now.

Very true. Can't see there being a long line of people queueing for the job. There certainly wasn't when Sven went.

There's one good thing though. With McClaren now gone at least the players can get back to more traditional training methods:

Not bad eh, McClaren gets the boot and a £2million pay off, I would volunteer for the sack for that kind of compensation!
Therein lies the problem in my humble opinion. The England players are a massively overpaid bunch of underachievers. What exactly motivates a player who, on failing to achieve, simply goes back to his Chav mansion in Cheshire with his equally chav other half and who continues to pick up his millions of pounds in wages?? I suspect they will be'upset' for a couple of days then relish the thought of a nice long holiday next summer instead of the inconvenience of playing international football. Maybe when they loose an England game it should be in their contracts that they repay (out of their own pockets) the ticket costs of all the poor punters who paid stupid money for seats at the game. They (the FA and England players) would do well to look at the England Rugby side to learnt something about motivation, determination and resilience. |
