BMW performance exhaust install question

Quick question about the performance exhaust install on my 09 328xi LCI. I've been hearing mixed things about the install. Some ppl are saying they had to do some cutting and some are saying its a simple bolt on process with no cutting. Just wanted some clarity on that. Thanks in advance

You have to cut the original y-pipe and then bolt it on with the adapters.
