Are You Scheduled for M3/M4 Welt Delivery? Share Your Date And Plans!!
Hello Fellow Bimmerphiles, I thought it would be a good idea to have a dedicated thread where you can post your scheduled ED date and trip plans for picking up your new M3/M4. It would be very helpful to me as well as many others to hear of your plans, what dates our BIMMERPOST Members are receiving and how many of us are actually planning an ED. We could all use this information to make plans to meet up with each other or maybe join existing events in Germany being setup by other members and of course share a toast with all that amazing German Beer. I am confirmed for 6/23 which is also the same date as the Canadian ED event so will be very interesting indeed. My lady will be an M3 AW/ Full SO with every option except CCB, Park Assist, Concierge Service and Drivers Assistance Pkg or as I like to call it the "town and country" suite of options. I started with the M4 but the aggressive looks of the M3 just kept tugging at me until I had to give in but I digress. I am heading up a large group of members doing a group ED but there will be a separate post soon to announce all of the formal confirmed plans and logistics. If you will be out there during the week of June 22nd speak up and join the party. I plan to arrive in Munich over the weekend to watch the 24 hours of Nurburgring race which will be an exciting start for the trip. Monday will be the pickup where I have no doubt that I will loose it once I can hug my new Bavarian Mistress Naturally I will do all of the standard first time visit tours and experiences. Along the way for the rest of the week there will be a visit to additional tracks for performance driving and hopeful the ring will reopen by Thursday as planned after the 24 hour race if the drivers that crashed did not destroy it too much. I will also look forward to some epic Backroad drives through the Alps and Black Forest, and meet up events with local car clubs that will be anxiously looking forward to our arrival. What about you? What do you have going on for the Ultimate Driving Experience at Bimmer Heaven? Are you going this year or the next? |

Well I am one of the first 15 Canadians that is doing the Euro Delivery of our M4/M3s which mine is the BSM M4, the first M3 was a two door so I stuck with the same for this generation.
Arriving at Munich for noon and BMW picks us up to start the adventure! We should be getting a detailed itinerary in a week or so, when I do I will share it here.

I've requested dates around the second weekend in October and as such have been promised a later allocation from my dealer.
I've been to BMW Welt before and am still considering my plans. I would like to do a factory tour if possible, visit the Nurburgring, and enjoy some good German beer at Augustiner Keller (my favorite beer garden from my last trip to Munich). If you're planning a trip this summer or early Fall I would suggest renting bikes from Mike's Bike Tours and biking around the big park - Englischer Garten (we did our own thing vs the group tour). Stop for a beer and a snack at the outdoor restaurant in the middle of the park. Good times! |

I will take my new baby for its first ride on June 23.
Just rescheduled my flight - was actually hoping to pick it up a week before that - but well, wait time is the best time isn't it? Counting down the days... Quote:
