Same here! Exact same coming in a couple of weeks. Are you considering adding any of the M performance parts? I ordered black grilles and i'm thinking of getting the splitters and side lines (stickers i believe). Your thoughts?

Both are great cars, but nice move on the switch. Enjoy!

I'm thinking about doing the same thing. Are you happy with the switch?

I've already got the black kidney grills set up to be installed before I take delivery. They really add a lot to the look IMO.

That will probably be it for the time being.

Fineline is very classy. Got it with mine as well.

I will probably add the black grill, but I doubt I do much else. I'm a big fan of carbon fiber accents, so I may potential swap out the mirror caps and/or trunk lip at some point. The diffuser is cool as well.

My F30 was tastefully modified (cosmetics only) but this car already looks sporty coming from Germany, so I won't be as quick to get after it. I do have an appointment to get the windows tinted next week.

Well I got my F30 as a great deal on CPO (only had like 10k miles on it) so I didn't get to pick the packages I wanted. It was a 328i, no xenons, no tech package, etc. For those reasons alone, the F22 has blown me away. It is so much faster, more agile, and better equipped that there really is no comparison in my book.

Here are my early impressions: First, the car is an absolute beast. Going from the 328i F30 sedan to this 320 hp/330 lb-ft monster has been like night and day. Acceleration is lightyears better (as it obviously should be), and cornering and handling are much improved as well. Braking is sharp and easy with the M-Performance brakes, and the 8-speed shifts smoothly in comfort, sport, and manual modes.

I opted for just about every option on this car, and here are my early thoughts on the electronics. The 8.8" screen is plenty large to setup in split screen configuration. I have BMW's clock and weather app on one side of the display with my media or nav screen on the other side. When you shift the car into sport mode, sport instrument panels appear on the screen logging your hp and torque in real-time. The backup camera is nice, but that is available on most cars anymore.

The lane change system is interesting. It vibrates your steering wheel automatically if you begin to drift into another lane. Additionally, the car has sensors for both parking and collision notification.

The integration of a Siri button on the steering wheel was a nice touch. You can now send texts, make phone calls, play music, get directions, etc without ever removing your phone from your pocket with one touch of the steering wheel button.

As an owner of both the E92 and F30, I have to say this car combines the best of both worlds with improved speed and electronics. Though I still miss the amazing steering of the E92, this car is better than the F30, and quite responsive in Sport and Sport+ modes. The M steering wheel is also beefy and comfortable, as are the seats.

Ok, now for the few downsides. I've noticed the heated seats in this car are not quite as warm as some of my previous vehicles. Also, the turn signal on the mirrors is quite bright in the cabin when driving at night (this will be fixed once I get a chance to tint my windows). Finally the touch sensor on the IDrive system is pretty much worthless and overrated. There are very few menus where it actually gives you the option to use the touchpad, although it is a pretty neat feature when searching through the owners manual or inputing navigation destinations. Maybe software updates will improve upon this?

All in all, I'm very happy with my decision, and I'm loving the car thus far.

I am really enjoying it. My F30 had a sportier interior:

The interior on the F22 is all class.

With the 8-speed auto, the car is actually quicker than with the MT. Plus I usually prefer auto in my daily drivers for the sake of convenience.

I'll say one more thing about the F30-F22 switch. I'm a coupe guy. I trade cars often, and going back for the last decade or so, my car purchases have been (in order):

350Z, G35 Coupe, E92, 2nd E92 (first one was totaled), 370Z (still had the E92 as daily driver), F30, MB SL500 (still had the F30 as daily driver)

As you can see, the F30 was the only sedan I've owned in quite some time. I've only owned 2 sedans in my whole lifetime (and an FX35 crossover). Keeping that in mind, I just feel comfortable and natural in a coupe. Now, with that being said, the F30 is a great car. Sedan aside, it was my favorite car I had even owned (up until my recent acquisition).
