I've got a deposit down, curious to see who else does. I still don't have any pricing info, does anyone else?
My spec is M4, BSM, SS interior, and black/polished wheels. I was very very tempted by YMB, but thought it a bit too baby blue.

It'll be very hard to part with the 1M though...

Have you got a build slot now? I've just been told that my build will be late June due to full leather.

has anyone in OZ confirmed pricing yet? At around $156k plus on roads i'm thinking the M3 is going to be pricey once you add LED's, HUD etc etc.. Be interested to see who has a solid driveaway price

Yes its expensive - $187 k drive away
Coupe - black wheels
full leather
tyre pressure monitor
led lights
HUD
internet
Rear blind
Connected drive freedom

If the m5 wasn't such a heavy car then a second hand m5 looks better buying than a brand new m4

Yeah, I my pricing was in same ballpark with those options...too much in my opinion. I can't believe HUD & LED are an option at that price bracket.
I ended up buying a Cayman

Yes its hard to justify the m4 at that price

Maybe I'll go down the cayman gts route or even the cayman gt4

Was there no discount in your M4??? Good choice on the Cayman. I have one and it's a cracking car.

myself, I haven't tried to negotiate yet. I haven't driven the Cayman GTS but my only concern (looking at specs) is the lack of torque

Officially no discount, but there was some on offer...nothing huge.
They Cayman is sublime. It def lack torque (coming from my 1M) but it just means you work the engine harder, and the car just gets better as you do. Only thing I want is to amplify the crackle & fizz from the exhaust, wondering if I should PSE or Akra.

PSE is great if you want the over runs. But it isn't a whole lot louder than the standard exhaust but definitely a bit fruitier. There isn't a lot of torque relative to a turbo car but the fun is in revving these engines. They are so smooth as well. In terms of the pricing for GTS, if you were to spec it the same as your M4 (so at a minimum leather interior, PTV, PDK, Entry and Drive, parking sensors, camera etc), you're easily looking at 30-40k more than the M4. I personally think the M3/M4 are good value (especially M3) given that they are much quicker cars than the mid engine Porsches (at least in a straight line but most likely track times too) and can carry 4 people!

One car I've been looking at is the GT3, I figure if I'm going to pay already $190k for an M3 why not pay more and get a GT3. It appears to universally get good reviews, which are different from the 991 911 Carerras of which opinion in reviews is divided. On paper though a torque figure of 440 NM ... are you going to be left wanting ... thinking where's the shove in the backside?

I've had two 997.2 GT3s. One club sport spec and the other in touring spec. Shove in the back? It's there, high up in the rev range, and it's more brutal than a turbo car like a 1M for example. If you don't mind the rock hard ride, the heavy clutch, the noise, the heavy gear changes, then get one. Not the best as a daily driver but it's not so bad. A friend is trading his GT3 for a M3 due to recent arrival of a baby, and he had a 1M too. Lother if you are around maybe you can tell Daniel how they compare from your perspective.

Hi all, I am from Perth, and there's pretty much only 1 dealer in WA.
Got a quote for a M3 at $173,900 drive away.
Try to justify with the sales rep, how can the RRP $156,900 get up to $173,900 drive away (which mean $17,000 on s/duty, rego & dealer delivery???)
He couldn't answer me, except said this is the company instruction.
with all the options:
- Blk wheel
- LED headlight
- Lane change warning
- Drive assistant
- Parking assistant
- HUD
- Internet
- Connected Drive Freedom
- Full Leather
All up $185,173, sounds quite over the top. I am going in tomorrow to talk it down or walk away.

let me know how you go Fungd.. I'm ready to pull the trigger on a mineral white M3 with similar options but that pricing is scary considering what else is out there for that price range.

Hey, went into the dealer last night, and was pretty pissed at the end, pretty much stormed out.
As there is only 1 BMW dealer in WA, they played hardball on the price, absolutely no discount, saying this is factory order, rare and very sought after.
If it is one of the readily available in stock, they may have room to play. Fair enough.
They also wouldn't want to take a cent out from the $5.5k dealer delivery charge, even I work for a company which has BMW corporate programme.
The worst is they value my trade-in (5er E60) 2 months ago at $25k, and last night only gave me $16k for it, saying they didn't notice some dents last time when they value.
Then, its OK, nothing much more to say, I just walked straight out.
Now, I am contacting interstate dealership (Victoria/NSW) to see if they have slightly better pricing.

Also, the above are correct, Cayman GTS are coming, may be not as perform as good as M3/4.
But the pricing are similar, and the Porsche look stand out from a bimmer.
or new AMG C63 next year the way to go?

If you want to buy from Vic I can help you. Long way to ship the car back though!

You guys have to be realistic about GTS. With options similar to M3, you will be looking at $220k plus.

Thanks WAY
spoke to BMW Melb yesterday, very similar pricing, slightly lower, a bit of savings, but not much.
Still considering at the moment, but the sales rep (Melb) mentioned, the allocation for each dealer vary, and production could be months (20-25 weeks), being realistic, order in June, earliest delivery will be late October if you lucky.

has anyone looked any further into the full circle for the M3 or M4?
I'm waiting on a quote for 3 years, 15,000 km.
Probably the way to go, at least you know what you can trade it in for come 3 years time.
