Porsche Pockets $23,000 on Every Car Sold

Ha! I knew it was something crazy like that. I always felt that P-cars were overpriced.

I wonder what BMW's profit margin is? Probably similar to Audi's.

Perhaps, but Audi's number is inflated by Lamborghini and possibly Bentley.

My understanding is that on own brand cars specifically, BMW is a lot more profitable than Audi - maybe 3 -4X more profitable. Although this may have changes with ASP increases in past 2 years.

Personally I feel that Porsche is pricing their vehicles too highly recently. I mean approximately $120K for a C2S that isn't even fully loaded? My 2002 TT had an MRSP of $122K and was decently optioned. The 'bargain' 991 currently is the GT3; just make sure to check the fire extinguisher option box! lol

Different kind of companies Dave. Far less production. Same with Ferrari and Lambo. Just heard form a buddy that so far in 2014 Audi has passed BMW in sales.

Same thing with PFS. Not as accepting and higher rates than BMWFS.

I do agree that if you get a no option GT3, it's a bargain supercar.

That was also my understanding (BMW have relatively high profit margin); which is all the more impressive when considering the end results and taking into account they're are a high volume manufacturer.

And I'm sure there were rumours of BMW being bought out several years ago (although may be mistaken). Imagine a world where BMW were owned by VAG...

Think of it as a small extension of your Turbo S. It's the office comfort package. You've already spent close to 200k, what's another 5600 to extend that Porsche feel inside your home.

I thought you may say that. I guess as it's only 4-way adjustable, it may not be worth investing.

Now what will really make you laugh is the other thing they emailed me. At least other manufacturers email/text genuine large discounts on stock cars, P-UK sent me this, in addition to the chair (life is tough outside of the inner p-car circle ): -

122k is optioned fairly well. If you add up all the car options it can cost 50k extra, but some people think it's cool to buy every option so they can say my car is loaded. Relatively speaking most people will not use half of those options. My C2S was 117k, and has more than what I need and price was not an option. I do agree the GT3 is a good buy, varies to what makes a person happy. Cars are crazy they cost more than homes.

Nope. This is sort of a joke between a buddy and I. We go by to look at the Ferraris and to ensure that my Cali is on the showroom for sale. He tries to convince me to trade the TTS and the Cali for the 458 and I laugh. Reality is that he wants one and might get one-even though he says he won't!
