Hello everybody! I just picked up this beautiful '07 335i a few weeks ago. I am very happy and enthusiastic about owning this machine. It actually was my dream car back in high school. Bought it for $18.5k but with extended warranty through 100k miles and interest, it totals $22k. It has 79k now, and although i have been trying to keep the miles relatively low, i have put about 800 miles since Feb 27. I only work 9 miles from home, but just the beauty and feel for this car makes me not want to stop driving lol.

Anyway, a few things i wanted to ask. The dealer did just replace the twin turbos, water pump, thermostat, coolant tank reservoir, among other stuff like the brake system at 74k miles. I went to another dealer near me (Valencia BMW) and wanted to know what else has been done to the car besides the stuff in the paper work from previous owner.

They informed me that i am still on the original fuel pump and injectors. To my understanding, BMW has extended the warranty for the fuel pump and injectors to 10 years/ 120k miles... So what i want to ask you guys is this, should i have them replace the original fuel pump at the very least even though there is zero issues with it now? Or wait until something happens.... the advisor at BMW told me if there is nothing wrong with the car now, then no need to replace it even though i could have them to do if i want them to..

Any thoughts and advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Don't worry too much about the mileage. Just drive the car and have fun! Your dealer is really nice if they allow you to replace the fuel pump if you want them to...usually they only replace it if there's a problem.

Only the HPFP is the 10 years/120k miles. The injectors are not. If you can check the part number on the injectors, you may have the ones that need replaced under recall. Most 2007 injectors were.

Yeah checking the injectors for recall is a good idea. If you have warranty the injectors will be covered.

Having the turbos replaced is a big plus. You are nearing that 82k mile mark where the turbo warranty expires, so you have peace of mind for years to come with the turbos. Having the pump replaced is also a big peace of mind as it would be a major inconvienance if it went and also a large bill.

Good pick up and the car sounds solid to me. Now tune it and have fun

Thank you guys so much welcoming me with open arms! As some of you have said, i will try and find out if my injectors are under the list of recalls this weekend. I will try not to worry about the fuel pump too much right now since i haven't even had the car for 3 weeks yet.. I will try to enjoy it.

I actually have been trying to determine for a few days now on how i was going to mod this car. I was going to start out with a front lip, M3 side skirts and rear bumper. But instead i may be heading off to meet a member off this forum to purchase his Coilovers. Hopefully everything works out and the seller doesn't flake.

After that i will look into which wheels to purchase. I didn't want to head straight for a tune such as the JB4 because i wanted to enjoy the little power it has now stock. I want to slowly build the power so i can enjoy every little process going into the higher 300+ RWHP range if you guys know what i mean

Thank you e92_mack! I still have the MR2 but sold the E36 a few days before i got the E92

I had the E36 sitting on custom made work Meister SP1, ground control coil overs, 2 out of the 150 made Recaro Tom Cat seats that was really rare

I one day hope that i will be able to make this E92 something special

Update: Installed coilovers, wheels, and full CF front MTech/Aero lip. Also picking up a JB4 tomorrow. Hope you guys like the progress so far
