Help with Production Weeks
So I ordered my 228i exactly 2 weeks ago on 2/26 and was told it's scheduled for week 14. Is that the schedule of arrival at the dealer, finishing being built, or what?

Thanks for the help! And that's disappointing, this is my first BMW, but why would it take 4.5 weeks after the order being placed just to start? And I'm a priority 1. I've seen posts on Bimmerpost freaking out that it hasn't started by 2 weeks.

cause your dealer doesn't have any other available allocation as they get 1 or 2 a month... If it were other are like a 3 series where there are not limited allocations it would have started a few days after you ordered

I'm sure this question has been beaten to death but would it be too late at the Moment to change packages or add options? I regret not adding the m sport line with the m sport brakes

I went with Radley. I was able to change it thanks! I can't stand stock brakes , I prefer the m sport line than a premium package I don't know what I was thinking when I first asked for that build. He's trying to push it to be built at the end if this month or possibly week 12 as we'll and deliver date around end of April or so . Would love to have it by the time I get back from leave

I put in a order request 2/24, production number was received 3/14. They told me week 14 at first as well, but now the production date is week 19 (first week of may). I'm also priority 1... but the suspension is killing me.

maybe you got screwed :-( ... they should have given you the prod# when you posted the order....
they might have moved you and gave the other allocation to somebody else... Seems a bit weird cause 228s are not as high demand as the 235s... Is that dealer very small? |

ok...
there is really not much they can do apart from setting the order to sold (priority 1) for that specific order..... unless they trade an allocation with some other dealer and then you get a earlier allocation... In any case... good luck... |

Mine is set to priority 1, customer sold. At this point, it just sits in the order bank until an allocation is available for the dealer? Not sure how this works.
I was told the allocation wasn't based on time or anything, that they weren't sure when they would get one. So, right now, I'm kinda like just sitting here with no clue when anything will happen. |
