BMW Ultimate BS Card
re: The BMW Ultimate Benefits Card
Apparently, it's so worthless you can't even get to the webpage to enroll. When I go to the webpage it simply reads: "Sorry…. there was an application error. Please try again later." BMW tells me to download Google Chrome in order to access the webpage. Yet another example of BMW and Apple not playing well together. First world problems for sure but…. still ridiculous!

To repeat what others have complained about: seems the Ultimate Benefits Card is utterly worthless. A 10% discount on boutique hotels, music downloads, etc? AMEX, Visa, Macy's, or any other creditor gives me those things for simply providing my email address, let alone for forking over $60K.
I'd rather take what Monty Hall is offering behind door #2 -- USB key FOB, cigarette lighter flashlight, year supply of Turtle Wax??

Ha! Certainly didn't buy the car for the "free gift" but kind of expected something a little classier from a high-end lux brand like BMW. Newbs (in the US) will find out soon enough what this all means when they get that worthless package in the mail from BMW.
Guess it's just one of those days when (you) feel like everyone is giving you the short end of the stick

I didn't realize that car makers were supposed to provide benefits when buying a vehicle.

It's called PR and maintaining the good will of the brand name.

I get why BMW does it. I just don't expect to receive anything with a purchase.

Some people that are awesome receive it in the mail (and really, only the awesomist buyers get the card), but what he is saying is that the welcome page doesn't exist.

I received the card. To be honest, I'm probably not going to use any of the benefits.
The packaging was really overkill, it was placed inside a box big enough to hold something more substantial, like a flash drive or a pen. The card isnt even hard plastic.

Yep. I got one. I got it about 4 months after I got the car. I have no idea what to do with it, lol.
Friend who bought an Audi got an Audi golf bag. That would have been better. Last edited by UltimateB; 03-08-2014 at 10:33 AM.. Reason: added info. |
