I'm sick of my 435i Msport - after 4 mos
So I took delivery of a 435 rwd m sport at the end of November. I'm ready to sell it. It's a loaded car in mineral gray but it just doesn't excite me in any way. It feels numb compared to my 335is. I've got the jb4 and still meh.
What do you think sale value of a car like this is? It has 2600 miles. I'm so mad at myself for getting the car. |

The car takes a huge hit the second you drove it off the lot. If it's a particularly desirable build combo (for someone to not want to order their own) you may have better luck, but even if you just don't like it you can expect people to wonder if there isn't some other reason why you're selling a nearly brand new car.
And I would pull the JB4 off it before a potential buyer questions how the car was broken in if it's already tuned. Other than that take some nice pictures, and list it for sale with what you want and negotiate from there, but still expect to take a $5-7k hit from invoice.

Did you lease it? If so, put it on swapalease. I am in a similar boat as you, coming from a 335is and putting on a jb4 and feeling very little difference. I adding a dp and hoping the wastegate fix should get me to where I want to be power wise. I think this car looks a little better and is updated in every way compared to my e92's of the past, just need a little more power.

OP sounds like me a year ago. In 2013, I got a 335i f30 M sport, and sold it after just 6 months. Spoiled driver syndrome.
Anyway, I just bought another one. 2013 f30 335i M sport, this time in 6MT. I know I will be much happier with this one. What specifically don't you like about it? |

Happens to the best of us.
My advice would be to test drive a lot of cars and if you find something that truly gets your heart racing, splurge, treat yourself, and go for it. There's something very satisfying about being excited to drive your car every morning. Good luck!

Sell it for something you like and suck it up on the trade in. Problem solved.

Sounds like you really need to buy an M3 or an M4. Decide what you want and order one when it comes out and trade in your 435. Regardless you are going to take a massive hit.

Yup. Nothing you can do there.
Put a performance one on. Gets better with the performance pack. Again, performance pack upgrade on the 2014 cars puts out roughly 377 torque and 336 HP (much higher than the 335is). Bottom line, I think you can tweak it a bit to where it resembles your old e92 335is, but chances are you still will not be happy. It will not drive, steer or feel like an e92. BMW as we know it has changed. Reality is, part of BMW died with this new "lexus" generation. These are not the same cars we have come to love over the years. I think only once you have come to terms with that, you will see the 435i for the great car it is. Just don't expect it to be a great BMW, as the e90/92 or e46 was. Take a hit, move back into a 335is while you can still find them, or move up to an f82 if you can swing it (still some uncertainty there with the steering too). My 2 cents. |

Hello,
I do not realy understand you all. Most of you live in a country with close speed limit regulation. When do you realy use the power you expect? I love to drive my Z4 or the 330d with ppk, but as a daily driver i have just a Mercedes C 200 CDI with 136hp. But that is still enough for me to drive to my office via the motorway and no speed limitation. Most of the time I use cruise control at around 110mp/h, can you imagine this in your country?
