Dealer Allocations???

The dealer I am ordering from thought they were getting their allocations this week but now are saying it may be a month away. The other dealer in my area says they already have their first allocations for one of each car m3/4.

What are you guys hearing? I thought when BMW releases the allocations they are released for all dealers?

What gives?

D

I'm being told that they are customer cars by someone very knowledgeable and well known in the BMW community.

Well I hope you guys are right cause that means my dealer is telling me the truth. But from the source I have who specifically said these were not dealer launch allocations, I'm just not sure. I don't want to thrown him under the bus but he sells a ton of cars to forum members and has no reason to lie about it.

So I'm very confused...

April allocation are out already and they are for launch cars. Our allocation was 1 M3/ 1 M4

Dealers will know how many allocation they get for May in April most likely.

Fingers crossed that we get more then one of each

sorry for any confusion.

Is allocation number something that changes month to month?
Or is it set for entire model year?

So Jimmy, it is true that launch cars were pushed back a month to April (instead of March). So customer car builds are now pushed to May? So it looks like we are 1 month behind Jason's timeline.

+1

I (and others) would really like to know if this is the case and whether the timeline is still accurate or not.

Well I can only comment on our situation since I don't know what other dealers are exp but our 2 launch cars were scheduled for mid march production and although they are still in 112 status David said they are pushed to April.

I don't know how this will come into play with non launch cars and delivery dates.

It most certainly can vary month to month based on a variety of variables.

Do you have a date when your launch cars will be in the showrooms?

You all need to teach some of our east coast dealers how to treat customers especially the ones that have gotten numerous cars from them. Your approach is much nicer and certainly more appropriate.
