Service intervall dropping FAST!

My car started at 28.000km/oct 2015 to service when i picked the car up at the dealer with 12km on it. Now after driving 2500km in 6 weeks, the indicator shows 20.000km? If this coninues i will have to have an oil change at 9.000km..and the so called longlife-shit they sell in is at 30.000km.. Sure i don`t wait until the car has 30.000km to change oil..but before 15.000km is not acceptable..The car has been driven normal..not any cold weather, but mostly city-driving...

Anyone else in Europe with same intervall who has the same issue?

It's called Condition Based Service. The initial interval is a median guess at when it will need to be changed, not a hard-and-fast number. The oil monitor is probably seeing a lot of cold starts, and probably lots of condensation due to cold weather, or other conditions that are causing the ECU to count down more rapidly.

FYI, BMW changed their 15K mile (~25K km) interval to 10K miles (16K km) with the advent of the F30, so you might well expect the current readings.

yes, I read somewhere that BMW changed the interval on some(not all?) models made after july 2013..my car is made after that, So this could be the answer..but strange that the idrive indicator is not updated then..

I have to ask... Are you sure that the service indicator on the dash is calling for an oil change? Check the car info. The indicator on the dash will call for service based on the smallest number for any of the fields, for example the brakes.

I had to have my brake sensors re-calibrated because it was dropping way too fast and telling me I needed service soon. I think it had something to do with my laps at the Nurburgring and heavy braking on the autobahn tricking the computer.

Yes, it`s for a oil change. The oil lewel is at max also..
I have to take a trip to my dealer and get some technician to give me some answers.. CBS should not act like this...

Is there a solution to this? I have a BMW F21 2014 116D, with the millage dropping super fast. Got it back from the dealer 3 weeks ago from a service and the milage has dropped from 17K to 13K ☠️

Ohhh, so is it the BMW have changed the service interval? I find it odd, because it's now dropped from 17k to 12k within one month.
