F30 330 M Sport Plus landed

Hi Guys,

Collected the car this evening at 6pm.

Had a great experience at the dealership. Quick to the point handover and no faffing around (at my request).

The car was prepared and in a hand over bay for me to inspect and look around before we finalized paperwork.

My sales guy killed the lights and told hit the open... the Xenon's lit up in the reflection of the glass and looked cool as fuck!

Still trying to get used to what to do with my feet with it being my first Auto and also I keep putting it in N at the traffic lights as I don't like leaving foot on the break.. is this a bad idea?

Highlights:-

Estoril Blue is stunning both under light and in the dark!

M Sport Plus Pack adds to the car .. sets it right off!

H/K Sound system is great! really impressed

THE AUTO BOX IS AWESOME!!! Makes the car complete!

The Power!!!! Coming from a 116d that is the quickest car I have had .. I just about shit myself when I put the foot to the floor.. unreal!!

Anyway.. thanks to all you chaps for keeping me going during the wait... and to those still waiting ... You wont be disappointed.

Only one comment... Anyone have any opinions on the Bluetooth Telephone Hands free quality? Don't know if I was just getting poor signal but not as good as the 116d I just exchanged.

I don't think you should change for N in traffic. I'm not sure but it is not quite good for tgearbox. I read an article about it somewhere. I almost never did it in my current car. Those who know more about it correct me if I'm wrong.

Also, mine is a standard (no NAV) system but there is a connected drive option in iDRIVE with BMW hotline active... I dont recall that being in my 1 Series...
Any ideas what it is?

Leave it in D with your foot on the brake. Approaching people behind know your stopped rather than parked then, plus as said the gearbox doesn't like going in and out of drive all the time.

Looks fantastic, not heard anything bad about Bluetooth on the forum and mine is excellent. I suggest you delete the pairing from both and try again.

Also, make sure phone isn't shielded somehow, needs to be some where near the dash.

My Bluetooth keeps disconnecting during a call for 5 or 6 seconds then reconnecting.

Its very strange and annoying.

Try the software update Daz? I did that already. It's a .bin file on a USB stick and then click software update in I drive. What phone is it?

I also thought the Bluetooth call quality was a little poor. No drop outs, just a little noisy compared to my last E90.

My Bluetooth quality is excellent...far better than in my merc E Class and probably the clearest quality I have used.

I love the car overall (wife's daily driver, not mine) but I miss the feature from the Merc where I can jab the brake and it then holds the car until to press the accelerator.

Did that a few times at lights on the run in to work this morning. Feels a bit better than putting it in and out of N all the time. Any short stops I just keep foot on brake but there are occasions where you cant sit on the Brake Pedal the full time

Thats exactly what I mean, It functions perectly but it noisier (in a bad way) than the 116 (2012) with same iDrive system that I just came out.

Its a tiny niggle ... everything else is perfect! lol

I am happy as ! Trying hard not to floor it until its run in! lol
