First Service

My on-board computer states that the first service should be "06/2007." Should it not be "06/2006?"

Strange enough, the technitian told me that, they bumped the service interval for 3 liter engined car to 30,000 km, instead of 25,000. Of course, the date has set for 2 years instead of 14 month.
This is actually confirmed by BMW NA.... sigh.
Though, they will change the oil around 25,000 at no charge.
BTW, did you get yours at Richmond? I got mine at Brian Jessel.

I got mine at Brian Jessel as well. It's a great dealership but it just takes a long time to drive there. Also they say they have the most courtesy cars but in two of the four times I brought it in, they rented a piece of crap for me to drive.

Mine was showing 06/2006, but now 06/2007. However, the miles has dropped from 15000 to 12000. Why?

I got mine at BJ BMW too, the last coupe time I went for minor problem, they give me a x5 both times. Try contact your Sales advisor to make your appointment, it works for me to get a BMW insatead of rental crap.

The milage is the miles to service, NOT the miles you need your service at. I made the same mistake.

The milage is NOT miles TO service... Mine now reads 11,000 miles... i have 10,000 miles on the car. There is no way it is recomending my first oil change at 21000 miles.

This is confirmed by the dealer as I now have an apt to get my oil changed this week.
