6am - Been awake since 4am!
Well today is the day! The day of collection of my 335D.
I made a post a couple of months ago pondering whether to collect my new car when it arrives or wait for the 14 plate. The general consensus of the masses was to collect straight away, but having pondered over it for a while i decided the best option was to wait - for financial and personal reasons. My car ended up arriving at the dealers on 9/1/14 so as you can imagine its been a long wait. I even installed a countdown timer on my phone to highlight the agony even further to me on a daily basis! But today, at 10.30am (was meant to be 9.30am but dealer delayed me! ) i'll finally collect my new 335d. For those of interest the spec is: F30 335d EBII Coral Leather M Sport + Pack Visibility Pack Pro Nav Comfort Pack Adaptive Suspension Heated Seats. Car goes to detailer at 1pm so wont get much time to drive her until Sunday night, but pictures and initial thoughts to follow! |

Gents,
as I do not really know how ot works in UK, as from 01.mar you get a new numberplate of the actual year? So in that case a plate 14? Is that the reason why so many pick up their car today? What is the main difference to wait for the new plate? Has it just to do with the fact that you can earn more money if you want to sell it as a used car and it is one year "younger" so you can get more money?

Somewhere between 9-10am. I've promise myself I won't be sitting there when the dealership opens... Just keys and last walk rounds. Everything else is done.
Got to sleep about 2am... We must be the worlds biggest kids! Good luck everybody and enjoy!

These will signify the year and if its a March or September plate. Today is the issue of the 14 plate. On the first of September the plate will be a 64 plate. Next year is a 15 plate and a 65 plate and so on. New plate means new car and higher trade in value as opposed to same model on an older plate. |
