Exclamation 435xi My first check control message

I drove my 435xi to Vermont this weekend and received a check control message for my drivetrain. The message was something like "Drivetrain malfunction, please drive cautiously performance limited".

I can't transcribe the message word for word as it went away after some highway driving but I wanted to get this out there in case others have had a similar problem.

Relevant Car specs: 435xi M-Sport, Manual Transmission, DHP, M-sport brakes, 2600 miles on odometer. I have my 18" rims and winter tires on right now, but the car was ordered with the 19" M-Sport wheels.

Got that last week and alfter starting the car several times, it went away. Called up dealer, advised to bring it in. They checked it out and changed the infamous VANOS solenoid. No alerts since and no issues so far. Crossing my fingers that it is not the start of more "things" to come.

Just got this today on my 328i xDrive....popped up when I first started the car, but then went away after I left the gym and started driving it again. Called the dealer, they said if it happens again bring it in.

I had the same service request after about 500 miles, it was the wastegate position sensor: loose cable. They fixed it pretty quickly. Haven't had the issue since. At about 4800 miles now.
