What Can I Tell Service Advisor About Front Dash/Shift Knob Rattle?

Just purchased a used 2013 335.

Manual with sport.

I'm getting the front dash rattle.

Faint rattle that seems to disappear when I hold the shift knob.

Which makes me believe it IS the shift knob.

I've read through the various posts regarding this issue on the forums.

But does anybody have something definitive and clear that I can tell a service advisor?

I fear this movie will end like this:

1) I drive the car with Service Advisor
2) I point out the rattle
3) They can't hear it
4) And this doesn't get solved.

I'd love to have a sentence or two to tell them based on other folks who have solved the problem.

Thanks in advance!

Steve
