Shifting Questions

A few quick questions guys, please share your knowledge with me. From a 3rd gear roll then too w00t should i be shifiting a e92 n54 AT at around 5800 rpms because thats where the tourque curve dies down or should i be shiting in the higher revs? For the fastestes times? Also from a roll when brake boosting 1800 is a great place too hold them correct?

well i dont have an AT but, i would shift at or near redline if you are balls to the wall racing (or tracking). 6600 + RPM i would think. also i didnt know you could brake boost from a roll, i thought you had to be stopped. From a roll put it into the shifting mode or w/e have your car in the lower gear and smoke um.

Yes its usually from a stop thats what i was asking... U can try it while going but will definatly be braking harder and wont be able to hold the car at the speed(say 40) to be even with the other car too do it.

You know there is an auto-boost feature from 30mphs up that BMW specifically designed for drag racing on the autobahn, right? You just hold the DSC button with the hazards for 3 seconds.
